I am very excited to announce that months of research, collecting materials and equipment resulted in first successful samples. I created a hard material from dried coffee grounds, which I mixed with a custom-made natural adhesive, then heated and pressed in the aluminium mold.

I also created starch-bioplastic, using coffee grounds and egg shells as a filler. The material seems quite durable and hard. I will try to tweak the ratio of ingredients to make a more flexible material.

The process involved numerus failures and modifications.  Some of my first samples od pressed materials didn't hold together and early samples of bioplastic were prone to shrinking and cracking.
